Joining 20 other people in fighting a massive giant whose club swings and stomps you actually have to dodge and look for openings a la Dark Souls is the most fun I've had in a long time in a MMO.Īlso love how varied the gear look is, even at my level you can see people of the same class wearing very different armor and weapons, as they seem to have a pool of skins for level ranges and you get them randomly - my berserker looks badass and it's just starting. Have only reached lvl 12 yet but I'm very impressed with what I played - game gives me oldschool vibes (no healing outside fireplaces or consumables unless you're a priest, slow to level, challenging fights, grinding mobs for those breath "talent point" things) mixed with modern great action combat (I'm playing berserker). The game isn't groundbreaking in the genre by any means, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you were thinking about trying it and decided not to because of steam reviews or other people trashing the game just to be part of the cool kid's club. I bought a founder's pack at that point because I was enjoying myself and having fun. I played up to level 15 without spending a dime and never felt hampered or forced to spend money. You get a week of premium just for linking your steam account to a bless account. There's also a premium sub that further increases your questing and mob exp, but they aren't stingy with it. There's a cash shop with things like cosmetics and scrolls that give you bonus quest or mob exp for a certain amount of time. There's 4 different "blessings" for each class that all lend themselves to a different kind of playstyle. There's regular questing, open world bosses that take 30+ people to take down, timed events akin to rifts/public quests from other games, and dungeons that so far take a group of either 2 or 5 people. Animations and sound effects are on point. The combat is very satisfying, the combo system keeps you engaged even if your abilities are down. I've seen one bug so far in my time playing and haven't DC'd once. The graphics are solid and it runs well on my machine. If you put that aside, Bless is a solid MMO for anyone bored with their current MMO or waiting for another one to come out. People are basically just installing the game for the sole purpose of giving it a negative review because of the company's history with the IP. I noticed it had a lot of negative reviews, but when I looked at them the vast majority played for less than an hour. Like many of you I've been looking for a good MMO to play lately and saw that Bless just came out for PC on steam. IF YOU SEND A MESSAGE TO THE MODS ABOUT A POST YOU MADE INCLUDE A LINK TO THAT POST.
